The BG-MosquitaireCO2: Best Mosquito Trap against All Species
The ‘BG-MosquitaireCO2″ (BG stands for BioGents) is one of the most effective outdoor traps against all mosquitoes species available on the market today and uses CO2. The mosquito trap has a sturdy hard plastic body and all the electrical connections are waterproof. The trap has a diameter of about 40cm and comes with an eight meter electrical cord, one sachet of our artificial human scent which is effective for up to two months, one funnel net, two catch bags and a CO2 regulator. An artificial human scent will only attract mosquitoes and no other useful insects like bees, wasps or butterflies. A catch bag holds the mosquitoes that get sucked into the trap. The bag can hold around 80.000 mosquitoes. Once the mosquitoes end up in the catch bag they die of dehydration. No insecticides are used during the operation of the traps and therefore all of our traps are eco-friendly mosquito traps!
Positioning of the BG-MosquitiareCO2
As with all of our mosquito traps, the placement of the BG-MosquitaireCO2 is very important.
Because the BG-MosquitaireCO2 is an outdoor trap, the best results occur when the trap is protected from direct sunlight, is placed in areas with little wind and is placed in moist areas. Furthermore place the trap among bushes and keep the vegetation at least 50cm (16 inches) from the top of the trap. Above all place the BG-MosquitaireCO2 always on ground level for the best catch results.
Operation of the BG-MosquitaireCO2
Mosquitoes in Southeast asia are, with certain peak periods, active throughout the year. Therefore you can install the BG-MosquitaireCO2 at any time of the year. The trap should preferably be operational 24 hours per day for the best results. The right positioning and the continuous use of the traps will guarantee the best catch results.
Mosquito species targeted
This trap catches mosquitoes of the Aedes-family and the Culex-family. Therefore this trap is our most popular and effective mosquito trap. If you only like to catch Aedes mosquitoes then our BG-Mosquitaire (without CO2) might be a good alternative.
